NY bill would bar facial recognition programs for landlords

New legislation introduced in New York state would ban the use of facial recognition software by landlords in residential buildings.

The bill, announced Thursday, comes after officials in San Francisco voted to prohibit police and other city agencies from using facial recognition systems.
